horrormanga21
Hey I'm fairly new to digital art just been doing it for just under a year and I can seem to get the hang of color blending every time the colors just look like they are piling on top of each other any help would be appreciated it also there is amazing digital artist's on this site here is some samples of my work http://a.nime.me/0115/6474/screenshot_2018-06-09-06-23-42.png http://a.nime.me/0107/1399/screenshot_2018-02-10-13-09-11-1.png http://a.nime.me/0109/0405/1521292568896.jpg http://a.nime.me/0115/8119/1521686921220.jpg http://a.nime.me/0115/8122/1520169222716.jpg

You might want to use adobe photoshop or paint tool sai for blending.

What art program is that? Photoshop? As Foo-Fighter said, try downloading Paint Tool Sai. It's free and they have a few options like a brush/marker/water tool button which blends all the colors you place. Also, I recommend you youtube artists using the same art program as you. That could give you insight on how they personally color/blend their art.

It looks fine Fran. It looks way better than when I started drawing digitally. I haven't tried using Medibang so I am not too sure what kind of tools and resources available on that program. However, I've seen some amazing artwork from that program. https://youtu.be/lB7K4C4rqfw Even without a blending tool available, you can still make an amazing blending result by doing it manually. Usually, you can do that by making two colours overlap each other and picking the colour in between the two colour. Using soft/hard/type of brush have their own visual effect when blending the colours together. If you continuously set out a layer so that it creates a smooth gradation, it'll give out an amazing blending texture that no other blending tool can provide. There are also a different way to colour such as cel-shading. It all depends on finding out the style, technique, and method that you're comfortable/satisfied with. If you are used to using Medibang, I like to recommend you to keep using that program. Learning to use a new program is a challenge itself and it can set you back trying to get used to it. However, trying new program is also a good thing when you're trying to find the program/tools you are comfortable with(as well as not being limited). There are tutorials and speed painting online that can show you the other artist's point of view, how they draw/paint and sharing their acquired experience with the viewer. You are doing fine, just keep drawing/painting and you will improve. Many talented, popular and successful artist has said that mileage is a key component in improving really fast. The more you draw/paint the better you will become. Like in gaming, you grind to gain experience and level up. For artist though...there are no level caps. If you are really struggling, it's okay to stop drawing for a while and reset your eyes. I have done that before when I was really struggling and despised of my own art so much. After a month, I suddenly got better with refreshed eyes. I am not sure whether my take on advice will help you or is right in any way but that's my attempt to help you a bit. Honestly, keep drawing things that you like, look for your inspirational artist, and tutorials that can shape your art. Don't give up and keep at it. As long as you don't stop completely you won't stop improving. Don't be like me though, being extremely lazy will make you feel like your not improving or getting worse. http://pa1.narvii.com/5969/77ea6676130d1fc9e5061b645f515cef4983b76b_hq.gif Oh, drawing together (online or real life) with others is also really helpful too as you can see how other artists do things~ When I started drawing digitally, it was like deformed anime face on a stick figure body with weird measurement all around.
