Asexuality and dating them?

I never knew anyone that was asexual till I got into the cosplay scene and now it seems like so many are either asexual, demisexual, pansexual, or just don't care about sex that much. Growing up I was pretty much used to people being almost hypersexual. My friends boasting about having sex 5 times a day with their gf's and constant competition among a couple friends on how many they could sleep with, etc. Even a female friend who had been with over 30 guys by the age of 13. It's almost seems like there is now an anti-sexual movement.

well it's not necessarily and antisexual movement its the change in times. Were entering an age where we are becoming more aware and more vocal about sexuality. Sexuality has always differed since the beginning of history. There were actually a few rulers throughout history who were gay,pan,asexual etc. It's just how we are finally speaking out. Finally being acknowledged. Text books say that only 1% of the population is asexual... which I believe that thinking is highly outdated. There are so many who don't even know the different sexualities. I sure as heck didn't. Not till 7th or 8th grade. We most certainly don't choose to be this way so.. it doesn't really count as a movement either. I know if I could i'd certainly just be a straight girl who could have sex but that isn't who I am. Surely it's different and hard to grasp. That concept I do understand but...well it's very much possible!

I think I'm good with monogamy and one partner but the no sex policy no way if they are asexual then idk well have to work something out without cheating

Between not finding most 3D people physically attractive anymore, and having a rather low sex-drive I think I could say I'm borderline asexual, but not sure if I'd go as far as to say I'm 'full on' asexual. More like it's something I'm usually just not that interested in. so yeah wouldn't be much of a problem to me.

I don't really think teasing on any level should be necessary.. Thats a bit rude. Sure if you were just joking around and they were okay with it. but for me thats a sensitive subject and I'd most likely say bye shortly after.

So it's fine for your partner to have sex with other people with your knowledge of it but joking about its a no go? The logic baffles me
