MCBA Fall ComiCon 2016 – The Coolest Part of Fall! Fall in Minnesota! There’s a chill in the air. There’s a snap to the apples. Leaves crunch on the ground. There’s pumpkin-spice everywhere. And COMICS are in season! Because the Midwest Comic Book Association (MCBA) announces the return of our annual autumnal extravaganza: Fall ComiCon! Saturday, October 8th, the Education Building on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds will be jam-packed with the most mind-boggling, eye-goggling, comic-cataloguing, fan-dialoguing groovypalooza of all things comic books and comic culture related! Fall ComiCon is the nexus of comic book and graphic storytelling creators from across the entire Upper Midwest region. From established industry pros to tomorrow’s hottest stars to cutting-edge independent creators, there’s something for everyone. The Midwest’s track record for producing some of the comic book industry’s best and brightest talent continues as it has for decades. And Fall ComiCon is the best place to find and meet them in person. If you’re in the market for comic books or comic-related gear, Fall ComiCon is your one-stop shopping marketplace. The MCBA is an all-volunteer organization, run by comic fans, for comic fans. We are also very glad to support our local community. Kids 9 and under receive free admission. We offer a $1.00 discount on admission with a non-perishable food donation for our local food shelf. There will be a silent auction to benefit students at the Minneapolis College of Arts and Design. Parking in the Minnesota State Fairgrounds is free. Fall ComiCon is the best ‘bang for the buck’ you’ll find of any comic convention in the country.
