how bout Boku wa Tomodachi (tbh i haven't watch WELCOME TO THE N.H.K! either but from the images thy look similar) but u should give us like "do u want something like tis main character" or "jus the plot"

if you like Mystery, Psychological, you gotta go see Monster a must watch (i pretty much suggest reading the manga too) plot and characterization? hands down to this series
