@ThemoonKitty being a person that lives in LA I know how that is and its a pain but since there aren't many house/apartments the ones that are free go way up in rent.

New York and Connecticut are insane for cost of living too. Proximity to NYC just doesn't seem to be worth the cost...even though the conventions are awesome (NY COMICCON/NYAnimeFest, AnimeNext-NJ)...gotta find somewhen cheaper to live with other otaku!

*Sigh* Times are rough here in michigan =(. Unemployment rate is incredibly high, cost of living is getting higher, and no hope in sight. But, as long as I have enough to keep this otaku living it's fine with me! Fight-O!

In Iowa the cost of living is far lower than most places, even in the city (Iowa City). We have basically prime real-estate for our place and it's still super-cheap.

I think living cost here in Minnesota is decent, but I lost my job a while back... So I need to get a new one of those or I'll be screwed soon...
