Chapter. 1 Awakening Memories Upon a planet much similar to earth, the wind blows across a field of tall grass, in the same rhythmic beat of the waves of the ocean crashing against the cliffs. In the field were many white pillars with strange markings. Lying in the grass of wildflowers is a little girl, fast asleep. Her beautiful long white hair draped over, covering much of her face. She was wearing a white dress that sparkled against the wind. The wind blew over the girl again, this time causing her hair on her head to part a little. Upon her forehead was a mark of a white star, almost hidden behind her bangs. "Princess…” The little girl stirred a little, then sat up and stretched. She looked towards the pillars and standing there was a figure in a purple cloak. Their face was hidden. "Princess, come to me," the figure said. The princess slowly got up, rubbing her eyes. Lying across from the little girl was a small bundle of white fur. As the princess walked by, the fur ball moved and a little wolf cub emerged. The wolf cub looked up at the princess heading towards the cloaked figure and growled. The girl stopped, startled by the cub’s sudden behavior change. The girl looked at the figure again, this time she started trembling in place, clutching to something around her neck. Suddenly the sky turned black and fireballs started raining from the sky. They crashed into the pillars and a circle of fire surrounded the princess and the wolf cub. A loud shriek echoed through the wind. Above the circle of fire was something floating above. "Protect the princess!” cried men in warrior clothing.

Then the object above the fire slowly began descending towards the princess. It started to take the shape of a person. Its body still hidden in shadow, it spoke to the little girl with a wicked scowl. “What is the formula to find the sum of the square root of 57, divided by Y=A3 x C!” The princess looked confused. “MISS SUNO THIS IS THE 4TH TIME YOU’VE SLEPT IN MY CLASS!” A 15 year old girl with long white hair in pigtails and yellow eyes awoke with a jerk, and fell back out of her chair. "Taiya are you okay?" asked a girl her age in a desk next to hers, with long black hair and green eyes, wearing the same school uniform. "Yes, I think so Madison," answered Taiya, wiping away the drooled on her mouth. She then looked behind her and saw an older woman standing, arms crossed. “Oh Miss Ongo,” sweated Taiya, “I was just looking for my pencil when I feel out of my chair. The class began snickering. “Oh is that so Miss Suno, well I hope that you don’t mind me checking on the notes you’ve been copying down,” said Miss Ongo as she began checking out the paper on top of Taiya’s desk. Taiya started to panic and began to slowly creep away. A fiery aura rose around Miss Ongo as she was clutching one of the pieces of papers. “SUNO! PRATICING YOUR ART SKILLS HUH?!!” screamed the teacher, as if she was spitting out fire. The picture in her hand was a drawling, or what seemed to be a drawling of herself with a pitchfork and devil tail. “AHHHH! I’M SORRY MISS ONGO!” cried Taiya as she ran for the door. A twinkle hit the specs on Miss Ongo’s glasses as she grabbed an eraser from the chalkboard. “ERASER OF JUSTICE!” and she threw it at Taiya. Taiya just had the door open when the eraser hit her in the back of the head and down she went, with deviled Miss Ongo’s circling her head.

Later, Taiya was leaning outside of the classroom window, beating chalkboard erasers together. “Why me,” teared Taiya, sighing. The door slide open. “So I heard you got the legendary eraser of justice.” Taiya turned around and there was a guy in a school uniform standing next to Madison. He had brown, shaggy hair and green eyes. Madison just giggled. “Yeah. I was almost out the door though. But now I have to stay afterschool and beat all the erasers.” “It could be worse. How many more do you have left?” asked Madison. “Just that piled,” Taiya pointed over to the corner next to the teacher’s desk. The boy and Madison gawked at the mountain of erasers remaining. “I think it is worse,” sweated the boy. “Where did all those come from?” asked Madison. “Other classrooms, Miss Ongo went room to room offering my service to clean erasers.” “Wow, Miss Ongo is really generous,” thought Madison, in an admirable way. “Yeah….real generous,” grumbled Taiya through a cloud of chalk dust. A phone ring interrupted the conversation. The boy reached into his shirt and pulled out his cell phone. “This is Dion speaking. Oh? What a clumsy toad you are. Yes, yes, on my way now,” and he hung up the phone. “Sorry that was boss man from the bookstore,” explained Dion, “He was trying to stack some books for a new display when the phone rang and he well….forget he was on a ladder. I swear, he’s so clumsy, almost as bad as you Taiya.” Taiya twitched while Madison giggled. “I’ll see you girls Monday at school,” he waved and ran off.

“Poor Dion, he praticaly lives at that bookstore,” said Taiya. “He enjoys it tho, he loves to read and says it’s always a new adventure there everyday,” replied Madison, blushing. “So when are you going to tell him you have a mega huge crush on him,” Taiya grinned, elbowing Madison in her arm. Madison just blushed harder, her hair covering her beat red face. “Ah stop Taiya, you’re making me blush,” Madison laughed nervously, accidently smacking her school bag against Taiya, knocking her down. “You alright Taiya, what happened?” as she helped Taiya up. The school then filled with chimes as the clock rang 3pm. “Aw, its 3’o clock now,” said Madison, “Guess we’ll have to head to the beach another day.” “Man, this is so not fair. At this rate I’m gonna be stuck here all night,” cried Taiya. “Oh wait! I know,” and she disappeared down out the door. She then came running back in. “Ta-dah!” She was carrying the fire hose in her hands. “Ummmm, I don’t really think you should be-“ “No no, it’s ok, ill just set it on low now and come back to turn it off when we’re finished,” smiled Taiya, turned the hose on low and setting it onto of the huge pile. She turned and dragged a speechless Madison out the room. About half an hour later they arrived at the beach, bringing along their backpacks. Taiya was carrying a large beach ball while Madsion had the towels and an umbrella. Taiya was wearing a cute white bikini, with a silver belt chain. Madison wore a green one piece swimsuit, with dark green leaf imprints. It had no sides or back to it. “Hey guys,” yelled a girl over near the shore. She was with a 6 other people, standing by a volleyball net. Madison set their things down. “I’ll set up everything, you go ahead and check in,” offered Taiya, “besides I need to go grab a drink it’s so hot.” “Alright,” and Madison ran off with the ball in hands

After setting up the umbrella and the towels, Taiya heading away, passing a sign that said Food Stands. She continued along the shoreline past a forest on the other side of the sand in the hot sun, sweat already dripping down her cheek. Course, I wish I was as lucky as Madison, thought Taiya, She has perfect scores in class, rich grandparents, and everyone at school including the teachers adores her. Even the guy she has a crush on. Taiya remember the day Dion stopped by her locker, asking her a lot of questions bout Madison. He wouldn’t admit it tho, but he did blush a bit when Taiya asked him why it was important to know. She sighed. Sometimes I feel I don’t belong around here. Just feels like there’s something missing. The soft sounds of a flute snapped her out of thought. When she looked up she was next to a cave. “Strange, I don’t remember this here.” The wind started to blow gently, into the direction of the cave. Almost feels as the wind is telling me to go in. Suddenly there was branch snapped coming from the woods. Taiya turned around, only to be looking up the small cliff to a large white dog staring down at her. When she looked closer, she realized it wasn’t a dog, it was a wolf. “Ni-ni-niceeee dog-er wolfie,” trembled Taiya, stepping back. The wolf suddenly stuck its head up and howled loudly. Her breathing quickening, Taiya turned and ran into the cave. The cave with lit up with torches on the side, but Taiya didn’t notice as she quickly ran through the tunnel way. She tripped, falling face first into the sand. Spitting it out, she realized her echoing voice and looked up to find her in an open part of the cave. With the torches lit up surrounding her, it illuminated the statue sitting in the middle. Forgetting the previous danger she walked up towards the statue, eyes not moving from the sight. Why do I feel so drawn to it?

“Taiya?!” yelled a distant voice. Taiya was snapped out of her state hearing Madison’s shout for her. Suddenly Madison appeared at the entrance of the tunnel Taiya just exited from. “Taiya why did you run earlier?” she asked, catching her breathe. Then it dawned on Taiya why she ran in the cave in the first place. “Madison, I was walking to grab a drink when a wolf appeared from the woods. It was trying to attack me so I ran in here.” Madison placed her hand on Taiya’s forehead. “Hmmm no fever, but you are hot and sweaty, maybe you need to stay in the shade for a bit.” Taiya sighed. Of course she’s not going to believe me. But maybe I was being delusional from the heat. Madison looked past her. “What’s that?” Just then Taiya began hearing the flute melody from before. “Where’s that coming from?” She asked looking around. Madison giggled and walked to the statue. “That sun’s done some frying on your brain alright; next you know you’ll be seeing cute fairies dancing about.” Taiya shook her head, but the music continued to play. What’s going on? Why am I only able to hear this music? Am I going crazy? Madison pulled out a small camera that was worn around her neck. “Wow this statue is so cute!” and she began taking pictures. The statue took on the figure of a girl with long flowing hair, her eyes close and her hands up to her chest in a prayer form. Madison just giggled excitedly and then ran over to Taiya. “Here let’s take a picture with it.” She pulled Taiya over near it. Taiya looked up at the statue. Why does all this feel like déjà vu? “Get on it with me.” Madison on one side of the statue, reached over and pulled Taiya to the opposite side of her. “Smile!” Click. Suddenly the statue burst with bright pink light. The girls were thrown back into the sand, shielding their eyes from the intensity of the light. “Who dares disturb the shrine of the fallen Starigus family?!”

Interesting. Definitely has some anime/manga influences on the storyline. I've always noted when I write the first chapter to a story its always a bit chaotic in plot, similar to this in a way.
