Hello, my name is Hayate Ryo. Well, at least mt Japanese one. I've been Otaku since I saw Poket Monsters as a kid. I am an amateur cosplayer, gamer and engineer. Went to China in 2009 and I hope to go to Japan sometday. I love Asian culture and food so talk to me about any of that :)

I'm studying to be a Computer Engineer at FIT, and I want to get a Co-Op with Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft or some other company that has a strong Japan presence. And as for the Asian Food, I make killer tofu dishes, curries (Indian, I know not exactly Asian) and some pretty creative fusion meals. I like to make fried plantains with my meals, it really does go together. But I guess its my destiny to love Asian stuff: My cousin is Filipino.

Welcome. As for getting a co-op with those companies, I wish you good luck as well. :D I wish I could be co-oping there this minute.

Oh yeah BTW, since Hayate Ryo is Japanese name, just be aware my name, following the naming convention of Japanese, Hayate is my last name, and Ryo is my first name. Of course, my birthname is English, but I am using this online, because it sounds better

You seem to have an interest in foreign names. I tend to make up Japanese character names for some of my drawings by picking words from a Japanese-English dictionary that look interesting then combining them to get a first and last name until one looks right. Not sure how you go about picking names though.

I took Ryo Hazuki's given name for my own and Hayate is a common name that can mean Squall or Typhoon. So, I picked that upon meaning. Masuji is the family name for Ishiguro-san's protagonist in "Artist of the Floating World" and it is my "alternate" name if Hayate proves unacceptable.

Ah, one of my drawing characters is Sakari Sakuranbo (Sakari being the first name), using my dictionary method. I wanted something with cherries in the character name so ended up with the meaning "prime cherry". http://rena-inuyasha.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=48#/d174xhm
