I actually had trouble finding actual studies and statistics via google. Lots of people quoting different statistics, but not sure where the original material. Some loaded studies/statistics. Like the difference between one generation and multiple generation incest not always clear and statistics just based on probabilities, instead of actual studies. Or older studies on more degenerate groups incest instead of healthy population incest. I think it's likely accurate that a healthy population incest will only rarely result in serious issues even if the chances increase. But those chances increase dramatically when genetically flawed persons engage in incest or multiple generation of incest occur.

Personal experience. When I was 10 and didn't completely understand at the time, My friend told me about his older brother raping his younger sister (brother was 12 or 13, sister was 8). One of my ex gf's was raped by her dad from 13 on for several years. A neighbor girl I was friends with had a best friend who was 13 and raped by her uncle who had occupied the apartment I had moved into, he had been arrested by the fbi for distribution of cp after the neighbor girl told on him when he raped both her and her best friend (his niece). I also heard through my friends about a brother-sister who had been having a consensual incestuous relationship since they were 12. A guy I knew took his cousins virginity (he was 17 and she was 12) and also got his stepsister pregnant when she was 14, (miscarried).

It just seemed to me like an average cross-section of people in my town.(Bloomington, Indiana, USA about 80,000 people, http://www.city-data.com/city/Bloomington-Indiana.html) I didn't meet these people any particular place.

I've been kidnapped when I was little but I could escape before anything happened and since then I've been surrounded by healthy households. Not a single occurrence of incest, rape or anything immoral. Stalkers, catcalling and sexual harassment yeah... But I didn't know those people. And usually that happened in the bigger city (500k people) I lived close to. In my city (45k people) everything was pretty chill. Though now with the refugees and all that's over. >.< I stand out so I'm used to dealing with creeps but I don't know any. I'm cynical anyway. c;

Well, especially outside their immediate household, most people wouldn't know it's going on anyway. But at least you have a good environment besides random creeps. I don't actually know of anything deviant going on with anybody I've talked to in recent years. All the stuff I mentioned was 10+ yrs ago. But Probably over 75% of my friends at that time had been raped or abused at some point in their lives. But I also moved out of that town because of rampant drug abuse and other problems among the people I knew.

That's extreme... I don't know anybody who has been raped. Abused... Well some people would describe my parents as abusive so there's that. Creeps are a pain in the ass. Especially since you never know what they are capable off. Better be safe than sorry. I've come to a stage where I expect the worst of people. Which made me slightly paranoid but at the same time I appreciate kindness a lot more than I used to.
