It really depends. If we're discussing the concept of ethnocentricity, then yes, as an armchair sociologist, I get irked the wrong way. I am not fond of racists or religious fundamentalists, yet I view those who attack them outright as being on the same level. (Okay, so I'm actually alright with calling out bigotry of any kind. Huzzah for double standards!) But It's one thing if you're setting ethnocentric standards on people within your own society though, and another to try to reinforce your beliefs and standards on cultures outside of yours. This is really where I get annoyed. And yet the paradox is, do I really have any right to press my beliefs on those who unknowingly step on that pet peeve of mine? How condescending would I have to be to say "My belief in nonviolation is more valid than yours!" Thats my opinion anyways. I don't really know how I could make suggestions, given the subject matter. Although I guess one thing I like to tell people who get so high strung in their beliefs is "Hey, the more you simplify things, the more you dehumanize people different from you."

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion you should spend a bit more time proofreading your posts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes OP.

Everyone has opinions and ideals that they believe are right. It is not a matter of "right" and "wrong". It's a matter of whose standards you are judging by. However, nobody has the exact same standards as another person, even one of similiar societal background. Moreover,it is unfair to judge someone who has different standards. Therefore, no single person should judge another person's opinions or ideals of them being "right".
