Visual Novel collaboration?

I know the feels when it comes to Unity XD I've been working on that for quite a while, same with Unreal. So I know the pain. I'm up for any Genre really, I can help either designing or writing. I think my art-side would be more useful aha xD.

==============EXTRA ENDINGS============== - Bad Ending: MC fails to get a girl in time and Cassidy has to go back to the future empty handed. MC falls further into depression and become a lowlife, longing for the days he'd spend with Maria. He's later killed in the first alien attack on Earth... - Friendship Ending: Achieved by becoming friends with all the girl but not confessing to any of them. MC is mentally recovered in has accepted the loss of Lina. He's now ready to put his life back on track. Cassidy has to return empry handed but admits that her coming back might not have been for nothing after all. When she comes back, she goes on to find that her friend is thankfully still alive, but also that the child of all the girls are also member of the Earth Defence Force. Because they managed to get support much more quickly, Earth situation is way more favorable than it was when she left... - Worst Ending: Achieved by having all the girls despise you and(/or?) only playing Lina's Reminders events. MC becomes obsessed with the idea of reviving Lina and tries to force Cassidy to bring him back to the past, but he kills her in an accident. Mc then uses the machine to go back to the day of the terrorist attack but she collapses as soon as she sees him. Dead people cannot be brought back by going to the past. Their body might be reconstructed, but the soul has already left the body ... - PART-TIMER - Love people, not sexes (Yaoi Ending??? WTF!): There's gonna be a guy... and you can love him if you feel like it... Works at the shop. His ending can be triggered, by spending a certain amount of money, a completing enough of his events, as well as spending, a special night with him. :| THERE! THE GAME IS CALLED 'BACK TO THE LOVE!' BTW!!! How do you like it???

I'm not one to really judge anyone who's willing to post their ideas here, but time travel can get a smidgeon messy if you don't have the original idea clearly laid out (preferably in diagrams since it will help so much) to the whole team. Personally I like it, it just seems a bit messy as text atm. Edit: I just realized I'm still a bit inebriated atm. Will re-evaluate my opinion later on, I probably can't get the full gist of it yet, Fey.

Well those were some quick thoughts and personal thoughs. Sorry if some of it doesn't quite meant sense, I initially didn't write this with other people in mind. I know that time travel mumbo jumbo can get quite messy if not handled correctly so I've made sure to set it as straight and clear as possible. It's really simple once you get down to it. Plus it doesn't really interfere with the story from the main piece of gameplay, so it's really not a problem.

I was thinking more of a low scale slice of life kinda thing. That maybe took 30 minutes to finish with some significant decisions. Your story seems to be like most visual novels in that it would take 8 hours to complete. We are a bunch of scrubs (assuming) for the most part so doing a large scale production like that would be tough and hard to do well. Not thinking stats where you have to increase your charisma in order to get into the panties of girl A or B. Just a short story that could have a few interesting choices. I dunno, i think its a lot easier to refine a smaller piece of work then a grand epic spanning alien civilizations and galaxies lol

True but you asked for it! If we're talking 30 mins then something like Lonely Yuri or Collage might be cool. Both are super minimalistic, super short and yet very well written and good. Heck, Collage only uses backgrounds, text and music and yet remains pretty darn charming. By the way if you haven't try it out, it's really cool.

I guess i did ask :p. That's a pretty cool idea, just having it be text based would be fairly easy to do with some sound and music. Thanks for that insight.

This might be considered a downside to it, but if the VN does end up text based, it will need to rely heavily on good writing/story.

Oh god yes, can't rely on my pretty waifus drawings to save the day that's for sure xD. But because it would be so condensed, it would mean that refining it into a good story will be easier (I hope).

Alright. Again I'm really interested in doing this so, may I recommend you play collage first. Or maybe even Lonely Yuri, then give good ideas on short stories told well. we can start working on the story then I think.
