If I were to go fictional, I'd prefer a harem :3

well Manga_bird, plenty of people who have a waifu wish desperately they could be with them and interact. contact/interaction is of course limited but things like dakis and figs and surrendering one's self with images of the character help a lot. Most things humans can offer can be replaced artificially will or are being worked on (vr/robots). https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B6dWAmjCMAA7Vva.png Now this guy ^ he knows what it means to have a waifu. Bet you wont see him calling his favorite character of the season his waifu like all to many people do. The lack of contact/interaction isn't much different than say loving a celebrity who you'll never meet or talk to. one could almost go as far as to say it's like being in a really long distance relationship, or like loving someone who pasted away whom you can't interact with anymore but still hold fond memories of. I'd love nothing more than to hold my own waifu's hand and see her smile in person, I know that's not gonna happen but a guy can dream. Also related: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3Se6b0mjVE

So...a Renge from Ouran High School type deal?

Honestly I haven't seen Ouran High School yet so I can't say. I haven't really seen the waifu thing come up much in anime, least not legitimately. here and there as a passing joke but not much more. Figure they don't wanna risk offending (real) otakus. Takumi from Chaos;Head (my avatar) reached what is probably the extreme of waifuisum and reached the point of creating a tulpa, which is very much possible to do in real life but is something really rare and hard to achieve. stuff of legends really. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulpa ) Kaoru Yamazaki from Welcome to NHK also had a waifu, but he didn't seem all 'that' serious about it. Keima Katsuragi from The World God Only Knows also kinda had a waifu, who kinda reminded me of my own so it was kinda touching.

"...reached the point of creating a tulpa, which is very much possible to do in real life..." I would like to see any evidence that someone can create something with thought (that others can see). Because that would be the first step in being able to manipulate reality to your will.

So neet...you're happy with your waifu, right? So does that mean you wouldn't date? Because wouldn't that be cheating? Technically...

Is it weird that I've only become attached to males in anime. I don't know what that's about. :D

It depends, are you bisexual at all? Could be just a bromance I guess.
jacksterboy
Hmmm, i'm sure I'm not bisexual. I mean I've only ever had girlfriends. I'ts just when I was like 13 I was addicted to one character for so long. HAha his name is still my password for a lot of things.
