I think everyone goes through a period of fascination with Japanese culture. Mine ended in college with the realisation I;d never get a decent job or be treated as an equal in their society. Note that this doesn't mean I detest Japanese people. Everyone is different and the people who venture out of the country are usually pretty open minded and cool. I'm not sure if I interpret weeaboos as believing in an anime world. I think they pick the best ideals from Japanese culture and make them their own.

Here is an interesting thought... we all coexist on the same planet surface. Culture is a beautiful growing entity to be proud of and share, not hoard jelously. I have met a lot of interesting people in life and some particularly liking Anime (furries, weeaboos, S&M enthuasist etc...) but it doesnt really matter. The next time someone says that "only Japanese people can enjoy Tempura" i'll remind them that tempura originated in Portugal... so meh...

Speaking of... Taco bell's revenge in progress. Just incase you were wondering. I do love authentic Mexican food, but it's hard to find authentic anything here in America. Everything has to be so damn greasy and made in a laborator...
