My dad keeps calling me Ani-gay :|

Welcome! sorry about what ur dad calls you, but if its meant to sorta be like "anime" it was kinda funny, but still awful

welcome, I'm starting to see a lot of peeps on here of wich their parents really have problems with them liking anime and such. I mean it's a hobby like another, as long as it doesn't change the way you act, your grades and whatevs I don't see the problem they're having You could also do what I did with the ex of my mom when he bugged me (even though it wasn't about anime or anything, he was mostly scared to say something to me straight away, he did it once and well read on that is what happened) ... you can just smash a chair in his face. However if you're older than 17 (for me that was the age at least) it's a bad idea... if they call the cops, you're screwed. The cops were called but couldn't really do much since I wasn't of legal age yet :D besides that I'm a pretty nice guy XD

I do admit that the ani-gay thing is pretty funny. Also my parents think it's weird but only make fun of me sometimes like when I wear my Asuna shirt around them. Thanks for all the welcomes and TEXAS ALL THE BABY!

I know the feeling, my family hates when i wear my attack on titan cloak.. still think anime clothes n such are cool tho

Well my Asuna shirt has her in a questionable pose lol Funny thing my dad took a year of Japanese in college and plays lots of vidya games. He has the potential to be a closet otaku. XD I also have an AoT shirt but not a cloak though :/ I get more compliments on my anime shirts than I do normal shirts.
