Disability Fetishes

milkeyedmender
@metaljester It's definitely a slice of life piece, often with long strings of text in between events. I would personally recommend it as I'm a big fan of this style, though the soundtrack fits excellently as well. @Shinyumi I suppose so, though I think "Machiavellian" may be the better term :p

On the topic of visual novels (and I guess disability) Have you played Saya no Uta? If so, what would you do if you lived like that?

I don't really know what I would do if I lived with a disability similar to that in Saya no Uta. I always questioned why he had never mentioned the nature of his issue to the hospital staff after he had regained the ability to reason with them.

I had a total crush on a mute girl that used to come into my work all the time.

Ohgod these threads you make Shin.Too much anime. TOO MUCH. I don't have any fetish towards disability and I don't really support fetishes towards it either.. Because of that guy who amputated many teen girls to rape them all he wanted because without arms or legs they couldn't struggle at all. Yeah this was a real case. There are lots of morbid cases like this and those people are physcos but it all started somewhere, And one of the branches that bloomed that type of chaotic flower was having a fetish towards disability. So I don't take this quite nicely, I find it offensive to the poor people who do have these problems. Also I remember in 1st grade there was a mute girl in our class who nearly choked a girl to death and her ' reason' was because she was jealous of her ability to confront other people and talk to them about there problems and help them. And that is what she tried to do to the mute girl but in the end it resulted in her nearly dieing because of the mute girl's jealousy of not ever being able to do that. I honestly think you should probably stay grounded with reality. It isn't easy dealing with someone who has lost something very precious as a limb or was never born with eyes or hearing ability or not able to speak. Those type of people need alot support and special attention and encouragement and alot of it. More then you'd be use to giving to a normal person, In the end your entire life will end up revolving around taking care of that person's every need so I suggest you think more wisely about this subject.

>Too much Anime I take offense to that ignorant statement. I've personally known many mutes in my life, all of which I found very attractive. (Not because of the mute factor) So I often joke and pretend I have a fetish for mutes. And personally, I don't think I know of any mute Anime characters. Nothing comes to mind, get your facts straight please.

Anime also means that game, Katawa Shoujo. :I That is still anime. I do think too much exposure to anime makes the mind drift away from reality. I think diablity feitshes, You said it yourself you mention that game. YOU know it's been influenced and your probably not going to admit because that is how you are pretty sure you know better. I've know mutes and defts in my life too. I advise you don't joke around saying you have a fetish for it, That is actually very offensive to them. Because fetish means sexually and I'm pretty sure they aren't going to find it funny that there problem and ' Something they probably desire very much to have ' sexually arouses or you is a feitsh for you. I sure wouldn't find that funny and would be offended if I was a mute or deft and heard someone joking about that. Don't ever joke about that, It isn't something to joke about someone's disability. I'm sorry but you have to be realistic, About this stuff because it's serious stuff.

I can agree with almost all of that. Especially the second half, sometimes I forget things like this when i'm messing around.

Yeah I don't want to be a party pooper but sometimes I do kind of have to drop the bolder of reality. Just doing it because I care.. :C Maybe instead of saying its a fetish for you, Should say something more nicer like your attracted or accepting of disabilities.. Instead of saying the word fetish because a fetish is a fetish and it always is sexual.. Idk just letting you know. x.x;
