Honestly, the best way is to read their "about me" section and anime list. Then comment on their profile with "Hi, I also like _____" or whatnot. Make sure you start off a conversation, not something that she will have to go searching to respond to. I mean, you can just respond with "Hello" or something, but you'll have less luck that way. Anyways~ hope that helps.
