Survived A-KON! A very crowded event. I may have enjoyed Anime Fest more this year because you could actually move around without running into folks. Now it's your turn. Hope you have a blast! Yes the events of WWII were awful but they teach us much about the human condition.

Had to create a new profile, password wasnt working. Im going to Metrocon, but after work. I'm working overtime this weekend. I didnt get a weekend pass, I'll probably just go Saturday. Im looking forward to the Human Chess bit. Send me an email or yahoo chat request. I clicked the link to verify this email but it says there was an error when I did this one as well, so I dont know if ill be able to sign back in again once Im out. I hope to see you at Metrocon, I cant get any of my co-workers to go. Its just gonna be my son and I. This will be his first con. He isnt much into anime (he lives with his mom), but he is going as Hulk with his light up mask.

Just survived my first day at A-KON. Stood 3 hours in the Pre-Registration line! Do you go to any Cons?

A particular period of history? I guess ancient although various windows catch my fancy including WWII in the Pacific and the history of science and art.

No job lined up yet but she wants to work in Animation. I am afraid I am pretty much a Western History type. My daughter went to private schools that specialized in learning "differences" and I think she will do quite well. I homed schooled her on the challenges of real life. I think she has a pretty decent concept of what it will take to make it out there.

Good to hear from you! My daughter graduates from Art School June 20th. I particularly like ancient Middle East History and the history/philosophy of science. Home schooling is a lot of work. Way to go! My daughter and I have always been able to talk because of our shared interest in Anime. Her current boyfriend is into Anime is well.
