Can't really call myself an anime fan at this point, considering I spend pretty much all my free time reading visual novels instead. Pretty much all of the anime on my list are either the adaptations of the visual novels I've read or anime that I watched prior to about three years ago, when I first discovered visual novels and realised that they're by far the superior medium for storytelling. Pretty ridiculous that this site doesn't have a section for visual novel lists or something of the like. Especially considering that some truly iconic anime are just adaptions of visual novels, like Clannad, Fate/Stay Night, and Steins;Gate. It's worst on the amazing visual novels that had terrible adaptions though, like Rewrite and Umineko, since users on this site won't get exposure to them. At least good VNs without adaptions at all like Cross Channel, Higanbana and Rose Guns Days don't have terrible adaptions to turn people away and fuck everything up. It should be pretty obvious just by looking, but I'm a big Key and 07th Expansion fan. In fact, it wouldn't really be an exaggeration to say that between them - Key in particular - they run my private life.
