anyone else scared of the dark, and why?

Not really. Got good night vision, know how to avoid trouble, and can defend myself against supernatural threats. When shit manifests in the daytime, that's when the red flags should be flying. Cause then you're dealing with something that either doesn't acknowledge you as a threat, or wants you to know it doesn't need to play on base instinctual fears in order to do you harm, and it can come at any time, anywhere. Seriously, try seeing a black dog with human teeth and an elongated smile appear in the open window on a bright sunny day, crawl into the middle of the room where you and four other people (Both psychics and less spiritually sensitive people) could see it, then have it disappear, while everyone is sitting there like "I couldn't even scream, the fuck was that thing?" Spirits that use the darkness in order to prey upon one's placebo fears (and use it to make itself seem stronger than it actually is) are a dime a dozen, and are generally pretty easy to dismantle, once you break through those layers. I prefer the dark too. When I was a kid I had this bedroom but I remember moving into the box room and leaving this one empty for years because I was terrified of a face & figure that was in my closet. Pretty much every night without fail for a few months he'd come visit. I could still move so it wasn't like sleep paralysis but when I'd move his eyes followed me. I noped outta there. I moved back in here a few years back and while I've seen the face since, I'm not so scared anymore. I saw him recently even but he just goes away after a few minutes of being ignored. I guess it's not as satisfying if you're not as scary as you used to be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I work at night, and sleep throughout most of the day, so no. In fact, in Winter, it is dark out when I go to sleep and dark out when I wake up. I was afraid of the dark when I was a kid, but I'm an adult now, I've gotten over that.
