Manga vs LN, WN, WebToons, etc...

Over the recent years we have noticed a shift from popularity in Manga towards other formats. - Manhua/Manhwa - Light Novels - Web Novels - Webtoons/Webcomics - Visual Novels* - others (that I don't know of) Can Manga hold out against the competition and remain king? It feels like Korea and China are slowly catching up to Japan. Also what stories do you enjoy in other media? For instance, I enjoy reading "The Gamer" and "Nobelesse".

I prefer anime due to my A.D.D. But aside from that, (And you might want to add this one in too), I prefer Visual Novels to manga and light novels. That said, each medium carries a different way of conveying a story, and a story that is perfectly adapted to that medium will always be better than the same one on other mediums.

I think its normal for new media to appear constantly but I don't think that manga can be replaced as a very popular media. I do enjoy webtoons for example, but because they are mobile optimized, I wouldn't however like them to replace manga. It just feels so nice to hold a book in your hands!
