Do you have certain friends that you only ever talk to of they talk first or vice versa? And what separates the kind of people that you actively try to engage with as opposed to the ones you do not?

I mainly initiate since sometimes I get afraid the other person won't talk to me then again I don't want to scare anyone off.

My policy is to talk as little as possible, the quicker I can end the conversation the better. In the event it is my friends I would say it is about fifty-fifty. I initiate half of the time.

@Weeb: I feel obligated to say, if someone drops off from a conversation with you, its not always that you're boring. I do it all the time with people, and 90% of the time its because I just ran out of things to say, or get side tracked with something elsewhere on the interwebs.
