Anime cliches/tropes

gunvoltx
Hey guys, are there any cliches or tropes in anime that you don't like or just hate seeing? For me, I really don't like seeing tsundere girls in anime. I know that they're not the worst thing, but I just find those kind of characters annoying.

I getting tired of MECHA. It's hard to get into this theme when you have the same story line of "mechs." Some are okay, yet it feels like I'm watching the same one after another with sames mechs.

I'm tired of the way the art style is for most anime these days, it lacks atmosphere and depth.

I actually like the super kawaii art style of recent years. Though I'm tired of every main protagonist having seemingly superhuman ability to turn down half naked girls. School Days had the most realistic male protagonist. At the same time, the harem theme is a bit overdone. Girls are way to willing to throw themselves at a particular guy. Sure it's a male fantasy, I wish that would happen to me, but it's too unrealistic. (That did actually happen to me before, unfortunately she was maximum jailbait, with a D-cup). Also the super weak male protagonist becoming super strong, usually with the help of a super strong female is becoming overdone.

@Cero, Not everyone. But 16 is considered to be around the pinnacle of beauty and also the most fun age where you can do about anything but without having the full responsibility of full adulthood.

@vamp i was ugly as shit at 16, bad skin and acne.

it irritates me when a show has too many characters in the same scene and they all take turns saying a part of one sentence

@ erikxson I don't think you being ugly as shit at 16 shows up in enough animes for it to be considered a cliche. On topic, when a character goes through hell and loses everything just to magically get a do over in the last episode.

Characters that have the same personality as someone from another anime, because that personality is popular and will attract people to watch the anime. It seems they often come with little to no background or explanation as to why they are like that. No need for examples, the very existence of the "Rei Ayanami Clone" page on TV tropes speaks on its own.
