Why People Quit

anime_tyrant
This topic seems to be a thing related to relationships. Although in the past I have loved seeing why exactly people choose to be alone. I think in a way I was looking for some sort of comfort - What I got was reality. It's harsh - Abrasive - And sometimes just a flat-out bag of suck. In my thread "What's the reason you're single" I started to connect invisible lines reading post after post. It all became a blurry haze of sadness but what I got from the majority of it is - "I'm a good person but misunderstood." or "I'm insecure." My personal one is "I was cheated on." The reason I bring this all up is because it has to do with one person completely and utterly quitting. It could be both persons involved but sometimes or most of the time it's one person. What would drive you to quit? I never quit. I keep doing what I said I was going to do even if it hurts or is not needed any longer. I'm pretty stubborn that way. When I see everything I worked so hard for not working out - The things that were words in the back of my head become reality and I have to deal with it. So I guess struggle - internal and external are the universal reasons for me quitting if I have to. This is unnecessarily wordy I know but I'd love to read your personal feelings towards the question. It could relate to anything or just be a general answer. Why do you quit?

For me, quitting depends. If there's no signs of any good outcome, why should I waste my time when I could use this effort on another opportunity. In a relationship, I give my all. The only way I would quit if the other person does. If they don't try for me then I won't for them.

Why play the game when there's no decent prizes?

sometimes you just reach your limit. Are you getting as much as you put in, No? then it's probably time to pack up and move on.

It comes down to kids being overdramatic. Nobody quits.

I quit trying to get together with girls because its too hard but it easy to be friend. Its hard for me because the girls i know have a boyfriend and thats pretty much why ive never had a girlfriend. Ive had girls that are friends and it kinda sucks. >.< i havent hugged a girl in half a year so hug this tedy lol

I've never quit, if you're trying to date why would you? But I've been quit on... a couple of polite "It's not you, it's me" (though I realized later that I dodged serious bullets with those guys), one guy who flat out dropped me after the the first date, and one guy who I really liked but... well it's a long story haha. And I get it, sometimes you're just not clicking, attraction could be there but no interest, interest could be there but no attraction... I think it's really important that you let the person know, though. Quitting on someone just out of the blue and not telling them is kind of a dick move. I would quit if the guy seemed like he had too much of a temper or too much aggression. If he never texts me or calls me or even ignores me when I do or shows very little interest in the conversation. I also don't like men who are always going on about cheating, it seems very insecure... what kind of scumbag do you think I am? I'M TRYING TO DATE YOU, BRO, IF I DON'T LIKE YOU AND FEEL LIKE HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE ELSE, I'LL LET YOU KNOW FIRST. Oh, and if he seems like a constant downer... you know, always bored, always broke, always tired, always negative. I don't need you to always be a ball of happy, energetic fun times, but don't be a Squidward either lol.
