I'm taking the SAT tomorrow... with no studying done. xD

kyetge
I'm killer at the English portions, but lower than average on the math portion (thanks a lot, high school system). This is the first time I'm taking the actual one, so I'm just going to focus on the English parts (Critical Reading, the essay, et cetera). Then I'm just going to blow off the math part. The second time around is when I'll really focus on the math part and blow everything else off, perhaps write in the lyrics to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air onto the essay paper. xD I'm so stoked for this! Right afterwards I'm watching the Avengers. To be honest, I'm more concerned about watching that than the stupid test. xD Wish me luck or whatever! :D -big thumbs up-

I didn't study at all for it and now I'm a NEET OWO which has no relation to the SAT which I actually did well on anyways I wish you luck on your test

Taking practice ones before a real one really help out. You'll soon come to realize that standardized testing does not remotely measure intelligence. Rather, it measures your test-taking skills and ability to read textbooks and pull out specific concepts, that follow a similar pattern every single year. For example, in the critical reading sections, if the text is an excerpt from a novel, it will always ask questions about the character's relationships with one another, and how they are feeling at given points. If the text is a historical article on history or science, the questions will usually be about the author's point of view on the things he writes about. I personally think standardized tests are pretty stupid. After scoring above a certain percentile, colleges cease to differentiate between scores, because there is almost no difference (in problems answered correctly) between a 33 and a 36 on the ACT, and a 2250 and a 2400 on the SAT. So just take enough practice tests, and I can guarantee you'll come close to acing them after enough attempts (speaking from personal experience). Best of luck.

Best wishes! I did well on the SAT without study so it can be done.

:D I did it!!! That was a crazy five hours sitting still. It seemed to me that it tested mental stamina - and the endurance of your hand! I had to switch hands every section because they hurt so bad. >.< It was bubble after bubble after bubble. But I'm fast and I'm reliable. :D I worked like a machine. I just wish we had more breaks. D: Everybody's stomachs were growlling after two breaks.

Lol. i had to fill in random bubbles for 40% or less of my SAT test. always more questions than i have time to answer. ended up having to take it twice. and going into college my english part didnt meet the required score, so i had to take a remedial class while at college for that subject. Ultimatley though, i chalk it up to not enough time for the number of questions given, or simply too many questions that require longer than 1 min or less of thought to get right.

Good luck with your SAT, I did rather poorly on mine, but luckily my college did not consider them for accepting applicants.
