Otaku Boyfriend Needed! Why aren't there any Guy Otakus DX

I agree with everyone. I am here for friends, and trying to work on being more social, even if through the screen, as a real person, and not just a character, or whatever. I can't say it's easy though. I have a lot going on and it's hard to stay active enough to continue all the conversations. I tend to get quite paranoid thinking something isn't going right or that I don't know what else to do, so I run away. :( @ Tiger - sorry you went through those bad experiences as well. I can see how there are a lot of members in this site that like to attack others. It just reflects their own insecurity that they are afraid to admit to. I'm glad we didn't allow those people to affect us. ^^ @ Darku- me too here for Que sera sera. Apparently also a favorite phrase in anime haha

@ Darku_Schneider- Sorry i didn't respond to your longer post. I just now read it all. i have to say we have some very different perspectives as human individuals. You as an older man (no offense please), and me as a woman. I see things from a whole different perspective when it comes to the opposite sex and relationships. I didn't even think white knights existed, I just thought at this point men were all scum, except for the very very few "good" ones, who are hiding away or already in relationships. Then again I haven't been out to the world enough to experience something different. Which is why I guess I am reaching out and trying to see what else is there besides my own previous experiences. I liked your quotes they are very meaningful and I appreciate the message they portray. Thank you. Also thank you for sharing your own personal point of view and experience, it's interesting to know what a man's perspective about relationships is. Most men can't even admit to their own fears and insecurities ever and that is why they are how they are I think. Fear is the worst thing ever, and I am trying to remain fearless, its difficult though since fear has many disguises, and also fearless people can end up being very successful or extremely unfortunate. Other people are so fear ridden they cannot stand to see a fearless person succeeding in life, so they make it a purpose to bring fearless people down. I experienced that unfortunately and it's broken me a little, it has made me angry again, resentful. These are things I am trying to work on, thats why I am staying on my own for a while until a very good kind hearted genuine person who actually cares comes into my life. Because apparently, such a person has yet to appear.

Huh... I can only surmise that I must be one of those with "insecurities". I too love passive aggression. ;) Sure, I most certainly have insecurities. Am I a social retard? A tad, some might say. Do I know how to solve this? Yup. Why? It's common sense, but I realize common sense eludes most, including me most of the time.XD I'm blunt when I see redundancy and even more so when there is blatant hypocrisy. Good on you for putting forth some effort, but I'd suggest offline rather than online. Personally, I'm here mostly just for shits and giggles. If you feel the need to analyze and generalize that, be my guest.:)

Guys are out there you just have to go out there and find them, careful when you choose them though. I usually like staying in a relationship till the end. I recently had one of my longest relationships end, which was roughly 5 years. We fell out because I got too busy with college and military, but the way I see it is if women cannot wait for someone who is trying hard then it's better to move on.

Hi! I've said this before in another thread but welcome back again c:! Anyway I *sorta* understand where you're coming from. I do online school because of some personal issues and that makes it hard to maintain friendships, especially when they don't make an effort to meet you halfway I feel like I have to do 100% of the work in those cases and it kinda wears me down. Anyway sorry for the random spiel, I hope you enjoy your stay and I hope you'll have good experiences with MO from here on out c:

Guren - lolz no offense taken. I think they like Que, Sera Sera because it is similar to the phrase "it can not be helped" which appears often in anime too. It will be interesting to spar over the human condition to see how our perspectives differ, I look forward to it. ;p
