Age difference

animefan8451
I've heard the phrase "age doesn't matter as long as you love each other', and yeah, I can sort of see what they're saying. However, I don't think it's that simple. Now I'm not saying the two people have the be the EXACT same age, I think there can be some flexibility. However, that doesn't mean there shouldn't be an age gap between the two individuals, either. I've also got the impression that the two individuals should be two years, apart at most. Maybe a slightly bigger gap, depending on how old the two people are. I'm very interested in hearing other people's opinion on this.

When it's between two adults, It doesn't matter really. A person that is 18 and dating a 14 year old is a different story.

Half your age plus 7. that's the yougest you can date. At least that's what i've been told as a guideline

Mine is 21, I honestly didnt think id date someone that "young", but from talking to her, she seems much more mature than people my age around here. Plus we clicked. Lot of common interests, hobbies, etc... although shes not a pegasister. :( But in all honesty, she seems like a great girl. So unless she's under 18, and I dont care if you say "but im 20 and its legal 4 year" crap, underage is underage, period. dont be that guy.. But other than that, look with an open mind, sometimes you might be surprized at what you'll find. :)

"Age ain't nothing but a number. And the number I'm thinking of is 100$" *suggestive eyebrow raise*

I'm 25 and my general range is 21-30. I'd be willing to date someone as young as 18 but anything younger then 21 there is a definite maturity required.

The divide by two add 7 rule is a good frame of reference. I wouldn't be 100% against dating someone in the 18 to 21 range but there definitely would have to be some maturity there to make it work long term.

I really don't mind as long as they are legal and mature

I agree with cecil on the divide by 2 add 7 rule, but it depends on the person I quess. My Father is 15 years older than my Mother, but that was back then so Idk if anything have changed since (Dad 36, Mom 21 when they met).
