All right, let's see how this goes.
I'm a student at Grand Valley State University going for a BA degree in music. Music is my life and I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't listen to it. I play a variety of instruments and I compose/arrange/produce music as well. My room is home to a modest studio in which I record/produce music. Ultimately, I want to teach music theory at a college and pursue my compositional career on the side.
Currently, I have a per diem job creating practice materials for a couple clients and their choirs. Hopefully, with any luck, I'll start getting more clients and have myself a good business going on :)
Well, since this is MaiOtaku, obviously I love anime. I have a decent collection consisting of a wide range of genres; anything from Air and 50cm Per Second, to Higurashi and Gantz. I love going to conventions and letting loose.
And what's anime without some video games to go with it? I'm kind of an RPG fanatic and love me some Final Fantasy, Ni no Kuni, and Dragon Quest. Extra brownie points if you can beat me in Tekken! ;)
I listen to basically all kinds of music, but I usually gravitate to soundtracks, classic rock, and classical music.
People say that I am great at giving advice; I'm a pretty logical person so usually I think with my head and not my heart.
I believe in chivalry and really just being a respectful, stand-up guy. I will hold doors open for you, pull out your chair, etc. Just because it's the right (and nice) thing to do. I'm just old fashioned like that.
