Who am I... Well, I have a bi-coastal background, having grown up and attended college (and 2 masters degrees) in New York and then spent my entire working life in the Bay Area. I'm a mix of a bunch of different pieces. There's an Explorer part that loves to go and try out new things. I like to try out a new restaurant every week. I took a vacation in Sydney with no plans. I got there, and found stuff to do day by day. Whenever I travel, for work or vacation, I love to spent a day just wandering the town, looking around. There the Geek part of me. I'm in the software business and love messing around with computers. I'm a science fiction reader and consume mostly anime for video entertainment. It might not surprise you anymore that the two largest discretionary categories in my annual spend are "Gadgets" and "Vacation". And then, overlaid all of this, is the Organizer part of me. I'm the one with Google Maps on their Blackberry, ready to get us from point A to point B. I'm the one who carefully planned, day-by-day, a 5-person trip to Japan to make sure that everyone got what they were looking for. I run group lodging logistics for my friends' annual anime convention trip.
