I sent you a friend request because I read some of your forum stuff and you sounded interesting to talk to. If you don't add me that's also cool. You seem like a reasonably active member.

Penguindrum has a lot to do about the Sarin Gas attacks by Aum Shinrikyo in 1995, and the last big Tsunami happened during the production and affected the script- also it's based on the novels 'Underground' and 'Mr. Frog Saves Tokyo' by Haruki Murakami, and 'Night on the Galactic Railroad'(a movie from the 80s). So a lot of people dropped it because it went over their heads TTwTT, if you have even a basic understanding of any of that, I super recommend it! Also the character designs by Hoshino Lily and directing by the same person behind Utena (Inspired by Rose of Versaiiles and Onii-sama he) like hot damn it has a legacy, and it's probably why it's so infamous? ///sorry fangirl tangent. It's satisfying like Steins;Gate once all the pieces fall together.
