So, I ended up being inactive from this site for awhile, and I don't plan on being on all that much, but in recent news I ended up finally sitting down to watch the Invader Zim movie: Enter the Florpus at last. Absolutely loved it! Sad to see that it's the last of Invader Zim. Could it have ended better? Certainly, but it was still very serviceable even speaking as a mega fan of Invader Zim it does all of the right things for fans and even non-fans will enjoy it for what it is. The animation is very different from the original series, but it's really good animation. They even mix different styles of animation which I really like a lot. The dark humor is still definitely there, but different and not as dark as what the original pulled but there's a really good balance between cute and dark. By far my favorite scene is Gir's Cult Song "Peace is Nice" It's such a random moment and it's SO Invader Zim. So I've been playing this awesome game called Yggdra Union on the PSP. It's been on my backlog of games I've been meaning to play for like forever. I remember playing the GBA version and never beat it so I decided to give this game a chance. It's a really interesting game with a really fun game mechanic. It's a card game mixed with an SRPG style. The story's really good too and I really like the characters a lot. I especially really love the music in the PSP version. The music changes whenever you slow down in a battle and go passive or the music goes faster when you go aggressive. There's some amazing variety in terms of music. The original GBA version didn't have that and it definitely felt much more challenging if memory serves which is probably the reason why I never beat it... But still! Milanor's theme is still really awesome in the GBA version I'm not sure why but it just sounds way cooler than the PSP version. https://youtu.be/4_LkbiKQKBY

Any case, I'm gonna keep my wall free of drama. Here's one of my favorite Homestarruner Strongbad emails episodes, or for those who remember Homestarruner at all. Lately I've been nostalgic and have been revisiting them and they're still pretty funny. It's very simple flash animation but there's a likable charm to it with the characters being so memorable, and the humor is really witty and it's by created two guys who are legit talented. https://youtu.be/8KqF9G_DQls

So I just finished my very first playthrough of this amazing PS1 game called Vanguard Bandits. This game honestly needs more recognition. The story is so seriously good, and the characters are all so unique and memorable. There's so much detail and interactions that characters can have with each other in between the story like they all have conversations to deepen their relationships. And the gameplay is so like incredibly interesting and fun! You have to really think about what you're doing since your Atacs which are like robotic mechs with different types of medieval type of weapons. Swords, Axes, Lances. Every decision you make counts and your mechs can over-exhaust if they've taken too much damage or used highly consuming special action type moves. You can customize them with gems, and equipments too. You have to distribute your characters stats yourself and depending on the equipments and stats you give them changes your characters abilities over time. It's really darn interesting and it's like no other game I've ever played. Working designs in general did a pretty solid job with the translation mostly. The writing is very good and it's comical here and there in between the serious stuff which are extremely good! So if anyone hasn't heard of this game and has a PS3 this game is on the PSN. It's absolutely worth your time especially if you really like SRPGS! There's even multiple endings and I've only gotten one of them so a lot of replayability! And the opening is just beautiful.
