Lived in Japan for 1 year on a Working Holiday Visa, working as a Hotel Receptionist at the English Language Resort British Hills in Fukushima, then moved to Nagano to teach Skiing to children (As an English speaker). Then moved back to Fukushima to work in the gift shop at British Hills.
Followed that by Managing a Martial Art School in China in exchange for food, accommodation, and training. Spent 6 months there training Shaolin Kung Fu, before returning to England to earn some money, then went back to China for another 8 months to continue my training.
Have been back in England since, enjoying the Covid life.
Anime has been a massive influence in all of my training, and I'm basically looking for like minded people to get to know, and possibly eventually train and create with.
I found many of these people while I was in Japan and China, but unfortunately, none of them live in the U.K.
