So I'm thinking of doing this next Sunday on September 1st at noon. I think I can get 1 more person to go if I make it then. Now I want to go a little inexpensive so I was curious if anyone would be opposed to an American-Chinese buffet. I want to change the meet up Lucky Village on Westheimer at noon.

It's a decent place with a bit of variety to choose from so everyone could find something they'll like. This Lucky Village has been there for over a decade and I've never been sick from eating there so I can say it should be safe. They also have sushi. Sure it's buffet sushi but decent. I know buffet places tend to get a bad rep but you should be the judge ne?

Yuusaku should know this by now. But any time before the 22nd of September is iffy. I tend to have trouble getting a sitter (save for 1 weekend a month). Even getting the needed time off is iffy. But i would try to get out there.

if you're trying to aim for cheap food that's asian themed, you should check out places in chinatown. Japanese restaurants there are like Cafe Kubos and Hokkaido. Though for a kind of get together, I'd suggest Kubos because afterwards, there's fit on top which is like a japanese 2$ store, and there's a lot of awesome asian snacking around. Mmmm, now I want mango sagoo from Juice Box... *drool*

Ah, FIT! I haven't been there in a long time. I have a FIT bag I bought years ago. Kubos is a very nice suggest, thanks Xueli! I'll look into that.

if you do pick something in chinatown, don't forget to remind people to bring cash. We asians don't like to be handed plastic. xD

You can use credit cards, but there's always limits. Like 10$ limit before you can swipe.
