Anime is dieing

ridingcatbus
If you can't produce an actual plot in a few dozen or so episodes then you need to give me some other reason to watch. Some series lose me when they can't get on with the story.

I agree. Anime is dying. But I think it's the fans that are killing it by watching fansubs, pirated copies. Production I.G & Gainax have asked fans to stop doing this. Bang! Zoom CEO said that they will have to stop dubbing anime into English in 2011 if this continues. Central Park Media, ADV, & Geneon USA died within the last five years. While Bandai Visual USA laid off 90% of it's workers.

>anime in the states So a bunch of edgy emo kids don't get their poorly dubbed guro fix. I'm playing the world's smallest violin here.

Anime is alive and well and I'm loving it. We get to watch it online for free under the fair use act in the copy right code. It is alive and thriving and even growing. I meet young people who are up to date with One Piece and love it, I call bull shit that anime is dying.
