to the guys who got rejected

nebelstern
Well, I myself have an approach to it: Wait until I bury my feelings seven palms beneath the earth then confess. I already have the "no", I just don't seek for a coup de gracé while I am bleeding. No. Someone that expects rejection must suffer with all the emotions before moving on, happily. This exercises mental maturity regarding those things. Dunno, that's empirical. It doesn't mean it works for me, it shall work for you guys. After all, life ISN'T static. (FROM HERE ONWARDS IT'S NOTHING EMPIRICAL, JUST THEORY) For me, things like Romance and Relationshps should be consequences, rather than objectives. You aren't trash to brood and flinch more than necessary over rejection, by thinking "OMG, I am so unworthy!". Nope, you are the protagonists of your life. Everyone has to crave their bit of glory in the world. And relationships don't necessarily bring it, at least that's my mindset. Unless you have a child, that is. Then you'll have a figure that should look up to you, that is until they become teens hahaha.

Not a guy but since I date girls I have been in this exact situation more than once. You should absolutely value yourself and not be second choice but it's easier said than done when you have feelings for her. I am a fool and think after that relationship maybe they can appreciate me more, and they do, for a little while. But it always falls apart in the end and I'm the only one who's messed up after. People who run from person to person just because their relationship is falling apart will just ruin you. Don't be second choice, you won't be valued.

@alihawk that is probably the biggest pet peeve of mine. I always feel like 2nd choice. I think most guys feel that way . It’s a two way street too because either the girl wants a “douchebag” and/or you’re the nice guy who wants to be everyone’s friend. I had a girl in high school do that friendzone crap all the way to graduation. She consistently picked on me and when she finally apologized to me and said she liked me at graduation. I embarrassed her in front of her parents telling them what kind of shit she did and how she treated people

You guys have your whole life to live and interact with people and try again. Getting rejected that time means nothing. “You can be the tastiest peach in the world and there will still be someone who hates peaches.”

i hate peaches a lot. I like plums though. Mangos are really nice too.
