Martial Arts

^_^ I'm from MA, I learned Muay Thai from a man who thought character was more important than money. He learned it from a school in Thailand. I used to play video games and online games that used Muay Thai and I thought it was amazing. I looked it up online to see if what they used in the games where even close to the real style. I ended up finding the anime Kenichi the mightiest disciple, and falling in love with the character Appa chai hoppachai. I searched like crazy for a gym that not only taught Muay Thai for defense but that I could also afford. My uncle ended up bringing me to one of his friends (after practically begging me to let him teach me Karate) and he taught me not because my uncle asked but because, in true fashion to the fighting style, I showed potential and restraint. I recently started looking for gyms to continue practicing (Nexus being the best by far equipment and training wise) but they are all way to expensive. Just in case your familiar with Muay Thai, I learned true Thai Boxing and not the muddied Western version.

Update: I might start boxing tomorrow! :D It's going to be so much fun, I hope. There's one guy who "only does classic style boxing", whatever that means, and his friend who does a more... modernized version of it, I think. It'll be great. I miss doing stuff like that for casual fun.

I could not start boxing on Friday. :( I had to ditch those guys to finish my National College Match Scholarship application up at school. They were even going to pick me up. >.< We're good friends so I hope they forgive me, but obviously, getting a full ride is more important than learning how to throw a cross or whatever.

I started Karate when I was six and studied it along with Judo, Ikido, and Juijitsu concurrently and earned my first degree black belt in each before taking a break to play Water Polo and really develop a solid muscle structure. Now I'm back at it studying Taekwondo under 4 Korean Masters as a member of the Pro Demo Team Xplore. I find that the combination of my hands body movement from Karate mixed with the kicking and foot work from Taekwondo is pretty devastating and the Ikido, Judo, and Juijitsu together are just deadly in terms of getting to and dominating on the ground.
