Would you date someone with a bad history/emotional background?

I would I would just have to be careful!! My old boyfriend started to stalk me after a while and he was really scary. I broke up with him and in return he tried to hurt me, so I try and be careful!!

No, never. But it's not because of the person. It's because I think I pretty much lived a sheltered life and I don't have the proper life tools and experiences to actually be of decent help or support to someone who has been through or is going through a lot. Dating me might actually be more harmful instead of helpful to the both of us.

Out of 2 dozen girls I've dated, maybe 1 didn't seem to have any obvious emotional disorder. Considering that the majority of girls will be molested or raped or abused at some point it's hardly surprising that most girls have emotional disorders.

@Katja Jeez, which country are you from? O.O In the Netherlands it's certainly not a majority. It might be as high as 1 in 4 maybe, but I think even that is stretching it a lot

I wouldn't mind dating them. I'm not sure if I have bipolar but when I see that the person I'm dating needs help or is in distress my attitude changes quickly and I will do responsible things that society deems necessary for life I guess is what it's called. In other words I do whatever it takes to make sure the person I'm dating is ok and well.
