Cosplay: Yay or Nay?

I'm pretty apathetic about cosplay. I've never cosplayed just because I never have time to put any effort in it and then I'm just not interested in the whole process. But I do appreciate the workmanship and effort it takes to do it. I have friends who really get into it, including making a whole mechanized iron man suit.

Yes cosplay is cool, did it only once by myself... not very "professional" tho xD But looks awesome very often and don't forget the most important thing - the fun :3 I like people who cosplay :D

I have never cosplayed at a convention but it looks fun. I used to do medieval reenactments in the SCA and some of those were public fairs or fighting tournaments. It's a little different from cosplay as there were strict rules because it's historical and weapon safety is a must but fun none the less. So we had a game called 'freaking out the mundanes' during events. Inevitably someone has to go to town to get stuff so we stayed in costume/character. Going grocery shopping with a few Vikings, Knights, and a Samurai, some in full battle regalia escorting a few lovely maidens in dresses/cloaks all armed with daggers and drinking horns on their belts got all kinds of interesting attention. I heard the question 'Do you play D&D or something?' more than once lol. Half the people in the meat dept were dying with laughter. One of the Vikings went up to the butcher and went on this rant rant about how mighty the Albertson's(The grocery chain) hunters were while two Knights were marveling at the Sea Dragons(Lobsters) in the tank pondering out loud who could slay more of them.

Yes, Luffy from One Piece Sanji from One Piece Going Merry from One Piece Lupin the 3rd from Lupin the 3rd I have some different thought and ideas on what I want to cosplay next. Since now is the prefect time to make a new cosplay with Halloween stores all over and supplies is cheep right now. I would like to do a cossplay and gender bend cosplay as well.
