Do you really need your bf/gf to like anime?

From my experience, it's a bit discouraging dating someone who thinks it's weird, and doesn't understand why you spend the large majority of your free time reading manga, playing games, ect. instead of going out. It isn't a deal breaker though... even if they do like anime, you're bound to have some other disagreements.

To be honest. I dated someone for 3 years who gave anime ONE chance. I happened to be watching Golden Times then, she loved that anime. But after that, she wouldn't give it a second chance. But I was required to watch all 15 seasons that were available of Degrassi, then I was required to watch Secret Life of a Teenager. I perosnally want someone who is far more into anime than I, as I want to lay down and cuddle while watching it. I won't say no to someone that doesn't like it, or break up with someone who dislikes anime. But I'd much prefer to share memories with who takes my heart.

Not really. I like anime and all but I'm not a hardcore watcher and stuff like some others so someone I'm with doesn't need to.

It isn't really important in my opinion. I have had relationships in the past where I had gfs that would watch and those who didn't watch anime. But I would say if a girl did watch anime it would make me more interested in them.

No, I just have to like/love their personality. If they have other interests than me, then it's ok. Why should I base a relationship off of something this trivial. I mean it'd be great but there's no need for it as long as the person doesn't judge me for liking anime. Because I'm a person that would never judge.
