I'm suprised this hasn't been mentionted but "Ame to Yuki - Wolve children". And I'd defo jump on the Mononoke Hime band wagon. I love the innocence that many japanese children's movies have to them.. They teach good lessons.

Ninja Scroll, one of the best anime movies. If you haven't seen it make sure you check it out.
