I'm personally indifferent to cute things in general. I won't go out of my way to wear anything or fanboy something, but I also enjoy shows like MLP:FIM which would probably fall pretty high on the cute scale neways. I think a girl who likes really cute stuff is cool too. Makes shopping and buying things for them on requisite birthdays/anniversaries/holidays easier. http://media.ign.com/boardfaces/44.gif

Lolis and all things Moe have a special place for me, but I feel like the fake part is up to you to judge. I agree that someone who would go out of their way to be overly girly and cute would be unnatural and I would agree it wouldn't feel right, but I would say the overall aspect of lolis and cute things is to instill innocence and make you smile. It's an overabundance of sensitive emotion when you get on the "loli" scale of things.

Well, everyone acts there own personality. All type of girls can be girly not just loli, they´re not the only ones that do it for atention and maybe they just wanna be like that. I personally enjoy that cuteness, they are so full of joy even if they have bad moments, they are just awsome people with positive energy. People who hate them, have a personal problem.

I think some people earlier in this thread were confusing Loli, Lolicon and Lolita. While somewhat interchangeable as Loli is a shortened version of Lolita which is most know from the Vladimir Nabokov 1955 novel Lolita. Loli is most often used as the Japanese animated depiction of a young (usually pre-pubescent) girl. Lolita is most often used to describe a (real life) sexually precocious young girl. Lolita fashion is that Japanese style of frilly dresses. Lolicon is most often used to describe someone with an obsession (usually sexual) of animated lolis. "Now I wish to introduce the following idea. Between the age limits of nine and fourteen there occur maidens who, to certain bewitched travelers, twice or many times older than they, reveal their true nature which is not human, but nymphic (that is, demoniac); and these chosen creatures I propose to designate as 'nymphets.'" - Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita, Part One, Ch. 5 "Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock. She was Lola in slacks. She was Dolly at school. She was Dolores on the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Lolita. Did she have a precursor? She did, indeed she did. In point of fact, there might have been no Lolita at all had I not loved, one summer, an initial girl-child. In a princedom by the sea." - Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita, Part One, Ch. 1

So, yeah, lolicon and the novel Lolita have nothing to do with Lolita fashion. NOW THAT'S BEEN CLEARED UP! I wear Lolita clothes and am very cutesy and feminine. I don't even wear pants. Ever. Skirts for life, yo. However, I'm into a wide range of things and I'm not just sugary pink fluffiness all the time. Some days, I might dress really goth, some days, I'm more "normal" looking. I mean, most girls I know who wear Lolita don't, like, make it their whole lives and put on airs. We're people. :I
