retail work

Aye I know how retail can be. Not entirely a smart thing to do though when it comes to putting someone in training on the biggest time of all. At least you survived and that is what is important. I worked 7 black fridays. 3 on the floor. 1 in returns. 2 as supervisor for cashiers (Of 48 registers) and 1 for software manager. Lets just say the seven years I lost a lot of hair and the deeming result has left me as is lol But hey, at least you got the experience of what it is like now. Working as retail then going out shopping you tend to have a different mind set of what goes on.

Who here has worked retail and is either a) irked by poor merchandising on the shelves or b) annoyed by items in the wrong spot when the right location is right there inches away?

I've never worked retail so I can't really reply. But I know lots of people I talk to daily who do and they complain about that frequently. I always feel bad so I try to make their jobs as easier as I can.

anyone got any funny stories on black Friday? who went or work on black Friday? personally i rather buy stuff online less hassle and pain

True. We are encouraged to smile at work however my office also believes in being grateful for at least one thing everyday. It helps to put a smile on our faces.

Jinsei: So many people pick up merchandise and put them down in other places. So many it isn't even funny. It was really annoying having to put several dozens of items back in their proper spots even before lunch.

I manage a Gamestop in my area and yeah, this year wasn't as bad as compared to some past years. More people staying home and ordering online versus standing on the cold to save an extra $50 on a TV.
