Near Death Experiences

I thought this was about when people are considered clinically dead, leave to a different "realm" where they then have to decide whether they want to stay alive or move on. I remember having a book called "Interesting Science" that also had a chapter about paranormal activity when I was a kid. It first got me interested in the topic and I've been captivated by it ever since. Why do these people see such visions even after their brain shut downs? What causes it? Is it really just that last desperate try from our body to keep us alive? Does after-life really exist? Either way, personally, I never had a near death experience in the sense of my body reaching its limits but I did almost die a couple times as a kid if not for close ones.

A few times I questioned myself "do I die now"? ^.^' If I felt unluckily on my back or I swallowed e.g. a candy the wrong way. So cases where I got no or not much air suddenly. Well I'm still alive but these were panic moments for sure xD

Almost got hit by a truck. I was walking across the street on a "T Intersection" where I as a pedestrian. I had the right away, the signal light for pedestrian to go. As I posted, I was walking across the street, and red Truck Speeding more than 60 miles, I look to my right, and with and instant it passed me by. He made his own lane passing by the other cars waiting, almost hitting me. It was not even an inch close to me. I had to jump back. So, yea...

Almost smashed uncovered electric cables through the wall when I was doing some renovations ( like 2 cm away) nearly got chocked to death

BloodCursedChild, Kinda a long story but he once ditched me in a third world country when I was six where I stayed for a year. Still kinda surprised I survived the whole ordeal. Was barely able to get enough to eat for the most part. If nothing else at least it's a great way to learn a language real fast I can tell you that much for sure.

When I had my first virus it was so bad that I couldn't keep any food down for a week. I passed out and went to the ER for another 4 days. I also almost got swept out to sea as a kid when I was swimming and the tide went back out. I swam for 30 minutes straight to get back to shore. I was really scared.
