Hugging

You know, one day I may need to hug a girl. I'm pretty adverse to hugs in general, but if it's someone special, I may have to do it once or twice. So what's the best technique? Should I hug over her arms or under? I'm pretty tall so I feel like over might be best. Maybe one arm over and one arm under? If it's a short girl, should I pick her up while hugging?

I can't stand physical contact with people. To say it makes me uncomfortable would be an understatement. In the rare times I make contact with people I tend to respond on impulse and pull away as quick as I can. Kind of like when you touch something burning hot, only I'd compare it more to an electrical shock. Last time I hugged someone was like a year ago when my aunt came to visit from across the country. It felt like an eternity and I just wanted it to be over with.
