When someone ignore your message and never replies back

kiritorbiter259
I get ignored a lot, but what can I do getting mad about it won't help. It'll just cause problems for everyone else. So I just move on and hope the next person will want to chat. This site is too fun to dwell on negative things. Excelsior! :D

Being the significant minority on a site full of young emotionally/socially awkward males, I can at least somewhat sympathize with what a good portion of the female population on here probably has to deal with if they plan on sticking around more than a week or so. If I send a friend request/message and get ignored, I take it as a sign of disinterest and move on. No one likes getting ignored, but at the end of the day, no one is obligated on a site like this to respond to your messages just because you send them. If you're a guy who tends to get the "bye felipe" reaction from girls after attempting to converse with them, go look up that meme (if you don't know about it) and take a hard look at how you interact with people. It will probably go a long way to understanding why you probably have a hard time meeting and dating women.

It takes me a year knowing someone to pm them. Im really quiet

This happens a lot to me. But mostly it's mostly because some People aren't Very active on the site. Sometimes i think i just don't know how to talk to people.

As has been said. You aren't owed replies, and you shouldn't really be sitting around awaiting a reply either. If they don't message back, it's not your loss. Go do something and enjoy yourself, don't sit around waiting for others to entertain you. I tend to try and reply consistently, but you can't just get angry at the people who don't.

Gudmoore - It's one thing if they're just a random person, but it's pretty annoying when they're the ones that added you in the first place. :P I mean, why even add someone if you're not even going to reply to being greeted?

Hikki - Hell if I know why they do it. When you get annoyed over it you're just working yourself up over nothing. Maybe it's my age showing, but patience is a virtue. I'm 24, so I caught the tail end of the home phone/IRC chat era. If the person didn't pick up you just went about your day. Ever since cell phones became extremely common people seem to get annoyed more easily over a lack of immediate contact. Chill out and enjoy life.

I would just say that you depend to much on validation from the other party.like gudmoore said go out and find something to do that fulfills you be it gaming, hiking, dancing, etc... Don't let that stop you if the other person wants to talk to you they will and then you'll have to either decide if it's worth it and or modify the way you interact with them so it won't affect you. I just learned that with previous girl I dated. Excuse the horrible spelling and punctuation

Fascinating and illuminating thread here. I am a super friendly guy who was all but ignored or ostracized since age 4 in pre-K all the way thru high school. So if someone shows me any attention or interest, I notice and respond positively to it... For example, if people request me as friends on this site, there is a 99% probability I will add them. I will then proceed to welcome them to the site, thank them for adding me, and perhaps comment on a forum they have or write on their wall... All this is done in a spread out time frame. I understand if people have classes, work, are sleeping, underground, or another part of the world... And won't be online when I am on. But for those who are... see: Last online 7 minutes ago, then i message them, 1 hour later it says Last online 3 minutes ago, or I see them comment on something I feel a certain way... I don't like being ignored. There was even a case where one person I unadded from friends list, and they friend requested me a few days later. I gave them a second chance and messaged them. No reply. I am about to purge my list of all who ignore me...
