I've managed to convince mine its just an anime convention. They have nooooooooo idea, haha. I'd like to avoid that awkward conversation and save myself from my parents thinking I'm some depraved pervert >.>

That is the way to go! After all it's an anime convention actually. I just wish I had friends to go there with.
