I'm on episode 652 for One Piece.... Just new awesome anime keeps taking my time although I do love one piece :D

same here i need to continue watching it at some point also need to catch up on fairy tail aswell
verucassault
Fairy Tail was slow to start and there are some episodes in the middle that kind of drag, but getting up to episode 175 was nothing compared to 12 Kingdoms.

apart from 12 kingdoms being long is it and would you recommend it ?
verucassault
I would only recommend it to people who like epicish military/governmental/political kingdom animes in a fantasy world. If people have watched The Story of Saiunkoki or Hakuouki Sekkaroku I would recommend it but with the disclaimer that the others are better.
verucassault
That's kinda how I started it^_^ recommendations on MAL for those other two animes.

Pretty much anything that dribbles from the pages of Shonen Jump. I hate how they try to stretch those dumb shows to the point of breaking, I watched 70 episodes of Naturo and felt like I was going to lose my mind. 70 episodes!! Do you realize that's almost three times the length of an average series!? And it felt like the show was still only getting started!! Even One Piece, which wasn't a bad show, just was dragging on way too long. It took me years to finish DBZ and I only tolerated the length because I have a long history with it and legitimately enjoy it. But even then I ended up stopping for several months between marathons. Compare to Nadesico, which I just re-watched in like three days. If you can't tell a story in 26 episodes, I'm not interested.

You think you have seen long running animes like Naruto an bleach but you must experience this to truly see that, Sazae San Personally though I do enjoy eureka 7 it wasn't necessarily short but I did enjoy it. But the subjective wormhole beckons,
