Have you ever dated an Otaku?

shy_anikki
I dated someone who wasnt into anime... they dont understand the time and money you put into co-playing .... and conventions... they also dont like you spending money on what they consider a waste of money (spending on anime.... manga.... or the trips to the conventions)

Otaku is somebody who is extremely interested in their hobby/hobbies it does not specifically correlate with just anime or certain genres. To be clear, there are multiple meanings of the word but for the most part its origins point to any interest.

I've dated one, alas she had some problems, and she was a weeaboo so not my favorite experience xD but hope I could maybe find the next and right one on this site ^^

Yes... and unfortunately he was way too quirky for me. D: I've dated a LOT of guys since then... wonder what they said about me.

I've dated two gamers--not really "otaku", but they were both casual anime fans. Both were really quiet. Rarely talked to me without a keyboard. One wasn't very affectionate, the other completely ignored my existence for like a month while we were dating (obviously leading to why we broke up). They were both pretty nice guys. They made me happy. I still talk to one of them on occasion, too.

We are watching anime.. She loves romance.. I love ONE PIECE. So just give and take for now. Muwahahaah! It is fun though. Just enjoyable to do things with somebody that likes what you enjoy to do :D

Not a self proclaimed otaku, but she made me watch anime, and we mostly shared interests when it came to Asian games, movies and culture. From a personality and interest viewpoint she was everything I could ever dream of and more. But she had a lot of emotional issues that kept her from getting committed to a relationship. I wish it worked out.
