Dating Someone With Pets

amrodcalanor
Having a pet would be a plus.....depending on the breed tho. Like a pit, huskie, beagle, german shepherd, golden retriever, miniature english bulldog, rotty or something adorable like those :O

Im a dog person. I'm not fond of cats. I don't currently own a pet though so can't really say a pet would be a deal breaker either way.

I love pets, I've always had a way with animals, So I guess I haven't really thought about the downsides much. Though it's a plus for me if they one haha, Unless they expect me to do all the work about taking care of them, I don't mind helping out, But don't make do all the work with it haha, Unless it's my own of course.

There are some kinds of dogs that would definitely ruin it for me. I don't know why, but I could never date anyone who owned an english bulldog.

Someone having a pet would definitely draw me to them, but whether they have a pet or not is not an issue with me, rather how they treated it. My roommate's family has a Rat Terrier and they only give him 3 10-minute walks a day and reward him for bad behavior. The poor thing has so much pent up energy and they're too lazy to walk and properly train him. When I'm financially stable, I plan on getting 3 dogs(Great Dane, German Shepherd, and English Bulldog) and a Ragdoll cat. When that happens, anyone involved in my life at that time will be expected to treat my animals the way I do and follow my rules so they don't teach them bad habits.

Hey, what do you gals think about dating a guy with reptiles for pets? I have a love for cold blooded friends. I don't post pics of em, cause I'm pretty sure a dagum sure a big lizard and snake would scare away some people lol

I fear animals cause they always bark and try to attack me. In my opinion you should stay away.

I'm torn between reptiles. I used to catch buckets of snakes as a teenager because they fascinate me. They're beautiful creatures, their scales feel interesting, and food-wise, they're easier. The problem I have with it is that you can't really form a bond with them as you can with a dog, cat, or rodent. I mean, a human can become close the the snake but the snake will not look at you the same. If a friend or partner had a reptile, I'd probably just want to draw it or study it before I let it wrap itself around my arm. But honestly, I wouldn't be as excited seeing a reptile as I would a dog or Guinea Pig

I know, with snakes you're 100% right. But some species of lizards are pretty damn smart and you can really bond with em. I'm more of a lizard person than a snake person :P kinda like dogs over cats honestly.

You said "big lizard" in your previous post. What kind do you have, if you don't mind my asking? I don't know too much about lizards so I'm curious as to what kinds are the ones that you say can form bonds.
