Do I need a real pic?

chinamini
Really worth putting real picture if we use second life to love? Will you rate a book, a game, based on the "looks" of its creator? Otaku-Gay people will feel safe posting REal life pictures to griefers all around the world? Will you get away from yandere people that kill your last avatar ad mess with your lovers with plots? There is not proof that this picture you see is not a deformed picture from someone really famous! There is no proof. Most people fotoshop the picture. So it really matters?

I personally don't care if people know what I look like. I'm me and no one can change that. If they can't accept it then tough shit lol.

China, there are ways to tell if a picture is authentic or not, even if photoshop was used. Your reasoning is invalid, and mildly on the retarded side.

What's the point of putting up a fake picture of you're intent on dating? Even if you succeed, you'll end up habit to show your true face and making a fool out I'd yourself...

@key17, I understand what you mean about putting picture of yourself. Some people want to find love not based on appearance. If people look at others based on appearance, we are no different than asking for sex material partner. People are born in either ugly or beautiful but they have no control over their appearance. I don't really care about how pretty my partner is as long her inside what I love. Appearance just an extra bonus for me :D. I saw some pretty girl way nastier than an average or ugly girl. Last time, this girl in my class she is pretty and ask me to borrow money, I know she has a boyfriend. She said she will pay me back next class. She needed for metrocard reason. The next class she didn't pay me back and for a month has passed. I didn't talk to her as much like before. I just let it by, dishonestly really is the worse. Is not about the money, is about keeping your promise. Last time, my professor assign her in my group so I only asking her which part she want to do and her boyfriend was being mean to me. Telling me to buzz off her gf, she didn't apologize or think he is right. My group presentation almost fail because of her. This teaches me never help people that much, I usually help people a lot of time. I don't expect any reward but they taking it for granted and not feeling guilt its total wrong. Seriously, I felt I became a worse person for mistrusting people just by hanging out with hyprocrite.

You have to be physically attracted to a person also, otherwise it won't work out. Love doesn't work like how you described it. Yeah, everybody wants the soft, squishy and happy dream, but the reality is personality AND looks determine our attraction to people.

Agree with Jikoshy. Plus, what I was saying was about putting up "fake" pictures. If you're gonna date with a fake persona, then people might fall in love with that persona, but not you. I might not care that much for appearances either, but they definitely count. Let's not delude ourselves.

I like appearance also but I know it won't last forever. Appearance just an empty shell and is not right to let appearance to control who we are.
