Lolicon and morality?

yunoxyukki
ok ok ok....soo just because of "pictures" or drawings that were of children you can get in trouble. thats pretty stupid, yeah i mean sure there are weirdos out there who enjoy stuff like that. but if they are drawings how can you get in trouble its not even real..whats gonna end up happening is the more cases like these that pop up the more we are gonna start seeing people protest against anime and fighting to put bans on it

Honestly speaking CP is such a huge problem that they can't afford to waste time and money on shit like this anyways. They're mostly trying to stop major production and distribution of it anyways as the problem itself is out of hand.

Anyone who knows me well would likely predict my stance. CP laws exist to protect children. In cases like this there are no children involved. No victims = no crime.

Another sad truth is that almost everyone I know that has been victimized, it was usually either a family member or close friend of the family. (Though teachers, coaches and scout leaders are not uncommon). It's actually much more rare for a child to be victimized by a complete stranger.

The problem is that there are some people that can't separate reality from fantasy and this is where you get issues. For the record being a mother I have a HUGE issue with it and I wouldn't want anything like that going near my pc so I won't be clicking on the link.

It's animated. There is nothing immoral about that. Now if it was real, then it would be a sociological and ethical issue, not much a moral issue. I say this because a long, long time ago pre 1900s, marrying 13-14 year olds was not only accepted, but reccommended. As years went by, attitudes towards it changed (A social issue) and is now considered wrong.

If he had other hentai images I'd be inclined to agree that nothing was wrong in owning or having lolicon images. The fact that the article only describes him having (and in two accounts) lolicon images, suggests to me that he isn't interested in women but only girls. @Jikoshy pre 1900's people also lived shorter life spans due to lack of medical knowledge. You'd be an old person at 40ish.

Lucille, that circular logic doesn't work well for reasons that have been stated. The people who are fucked up enough to act out on fantssy won't be stopped because a few drawings don't exist. Hell I'd go as far as to say that by making it illegal (which is awful just for the ramifications it would have on free speech alone) would actually more likely increase child abuse or the rate at which people view CP. The problem is that not everyone who likes this is a pedophile. Or we can go your route and ban lolicon because of pedophiles, oh might as well ban games and anime that involve violence too because someone might become a killer. Let's also ban exposing clothes since it may trigger rape, fuck it lets all walk around in card board boxes with voice synthesizers since someone may find a voice or appearance attractive. Shit escalates and I'm not going to try to vilify things that don't harm others just because I don't like them, because one day I may be the one who is being affected. Australia tried to ban A cup breasts for fucks sake. This needs to stop.
digitalwolf001
lmao I need a link to that please...A cups breast sizes wtf.
