It's pretty good, I just think it's way too hyped. Just like I'm tired of hearing about Naruto/Bleach/One Piece and more recently, Black Butler. I'm tired of a handful of anime getting overdone just because they happen to get airtime in the US. Everyone forgets about the hundreds of other anime, many of which are as good or better.

One Piece is da shieeett tho ;D As long as you watch other animes and dont just stick to those then you're fine. But if you refuse to watch anything unless its famous or everyones talking about it, then thats a problem :l

@altair88 i think Levy is much more of a sociopath, of worst, Annie :P But we don'T know Annie's motives yet so i won't speculate about that!

I would agree the the story itself is average. However, artistic direction and the way the anime is animated is truly something that is new to the genre, and used in a very clever way, and this makes up for the lack of originality in the story. I feel like the Anime Genre is very conservative in the way it presents itself as a whole, (exept a few, of course) so it was quite the surprise for me when i stumbled upon SNK to see the impact of this kind of perspective during action sequences.
